A-ma's Cheese Croissants

A-ma taught us how to make her delicious cheese croissants.

First you divide out the dough (makes ~24 or more).

Fill with cheese
Fill with cheese
and roll out.
Alpha's got the hang of it.

Then you roll them up.
Voila!!

Bread machine dough for "cheese croissants”

Add the ingredients in bread maker in the following order:
1 cup water, 1 egg (room temperature), 4 tsp butter, 1/3 cup sugar, ¼ tsp salt, 3 5/6 cups flour,
3 tsp yeast.

After the dough is made, divide into 24 (or as many as you like). Make dumplings with 1 tsp shredded cheese. Shape into tadpole and flatten/roll out with rolling pin. Roll with tail at the end and place on greased cookie sheet, tail on bottom. Let sit in warm room for ~1 hr.

Snip/make a cut in the top middle. Brush with egg and sprinkle green onion/chive mixture (¼ tsp salt, 2 stalks green onion, 2 tsp olive oil) on top or stuff into the cut (Alternative: sprinkle on dough before you roll it up.)

Bake at 350oF for 15 min.
(We've made 5 batches this week. They're great for sharing and yummy fresh from the oven.)
